ur new infant and toddler program is designed to meet the needs of all families with children six weeks and up and with full or half day options.
Infants (6 weeks-12 months)
When you and your child come to Wesley Hall’s brand new Infant and Toddler rooms, we want you to feel as if you are walking in to your second home. Each child will have a personalized schedule which the teachers will work closely with the parents to create, along with their own crib and their own cubby. Our rooms will provide your child with a safe, warm and secure environment to develop their emerging skills such as sitting up, crawling, rolling over, walking and talking. Our daily activities will stimulate language and sensory skills along with play mats, foam blocks and tunnels to help improve their gross motor skills. Each day all the toys are cleaned and prepared for the next day. Soft music will be played throughout the day to help unlock their creative spirits. At pickup you will be given a play by play of what your child did, how they ate, a bathroom log and a napping log so you are aware of what they did throughout the day.
Waddlers (12 months-18 months)
Our Waddlers will receive the exact same love, affection and care as our infants but as they become waddlers they are ready to take on the world. Each day our waddlers will be offered a very hands-on curriculum with a variety of activities to stay busy and develop fine and gross skills, social skills and vocabulary growth. In the Waddler group, in addition to learning how to walk, your child will also learn how to use spoons, forks and sippy cups. We know your child will love this room and have a lot of fun during his/her time here.
Toddlers (18 months-30 months)
Encouraging and fostering a child’s curiosity and learning are two of our main focuses in the toddler room. We encourage open- ended activities and exploration to promote social and physical growth. All of the classrooms at Wesley Hall are designed around center based activities which is also done in our toddler room as well. A few examples of our centers are kitchen and house area, building blocks, creative art, music and instruments, cozy/quiet area and various age appropriate manipulatives. At pickup you will be given a daily log so you can see exactly what occurred during your child’s day with us. We will work diligently to achieve all the milestones your child is expected to reach by 2.5 to be ready to move into our puppy class.
